This piece explores the idea that the entirety of reality came into being, just as is now, all at once. The thought is that all reality was just a "possibility wave," slowly spreading out. Once that wave included a being intelligent enough to observe it, it collapsed into the reality we now experience. Further, when we are too focused on the material world in front of us, we can not experience the ever expanding, unobserved possibilities available to us. It's a thought--but I have lots of thoughts and don't profess to have solved anything at all. :)

James Andrews is an artist and teacher who has been living in the Pacific Northwest since 1999. Andrews work is best described as Narrative Surrealism. While he is skilled in classical figure drawing with graphite and color pencil, the bulk of his professional work is in painting. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1973, Andrews' family moved out to Long Island's beautiful East End when he was a toddler. The skies, waters and other scenic features of the beloved Hamptons area, which he will always refer to as “home” populate many of his paintings.
